IKEA Swipe and Win (01/08/15)
Calling all IKEA family members, get down to your local store ASAP. IKEA are again running their ‘Swipe and Win’ promotion. I will confess that we are in IKEA far too often, I’m gonna blame Phoebe’s love of Smaland as opposed to my obsession with the Bargain Corner, anyway we were there a few times last week and I managed to win a set of yellow BECKIS storage boxes at £9, a white KALLAX unit at £20, along with a donut and hot dog. Not bad at all and worth entering your receipt code to find out what you may have one!
Massive Savings with Sainsburys TU 25% off (24/5/15)
Every so often Sainsburys run a promotion whereby you receive 25% off any TU clothing/accessories purchase. What is more, this promotion is applied to items that are already discounted, double the saving! I always hit the sale rails around this time to stock up on clothes for my girlies, baby gifts, birthday presents and even some Christmas gifts (I’m ahead of the game what can I say?!). This week’s bargains have been particularly good:
TU Leopard Print Skirt was £20 reduced to £6 and with a further 25% reduction = £4.50
TU mix ‘n’ match pyjama top was £6 reduced to £3 with a further 25% reduction = £2.25 (I’m a sucker for anything with flamingoes!)

TU girls floral dress was £10 reduced to £3 with a further 25% reduction = £2.25
TU girls floral dress was £16 reduced to £8 with a further reduction of 25% = £6 (I think this is my favourite purchase, it has netting under the skirt and has a real vintage feel to it).

TU girls sun hat was £5 reduced to £1.50 with a further reduction of 25% = £1.12

A lovely wee label to look out for
Of late I’ve become aware of a lovely wee brand called Talking Tables that is stocked by the likes of John Lewis, Selfridges, Waitrose and Paperchase to name but a few. They sell quirky, stylish party accessories. I first noticed the brand in Paperchase but have since been able to source some of their items in Home Bargains and Tesco:
I picked up these packs of napkins in Tesco reduced to 25p each for a pack of 20.
These packs of invites cost a mere 39p in Home Bargains for a pack of 10, I use my stampers to label them accordingly, usually for thank you notes. For anyone getting married they have a whole selection on offer, varying sizes and designs, and they can be printed onto easily. A cheap and cheerful way to do your invitations!
These Pop Tops Cake Bling are 19p a pack and will jazz up a boring plain cake for a special occasion, in this case a birthday, again there are a few designs to choose from.
This little Bingo set is perfect for a family games night and is a nice wee extra to include with a gift. We put one in with our friend John’s birthday present just this week. They cost 99p.
I found these straws in Poundland and although they are branded Table Fun, the company address is the same so I can only assume that they are produced by the same people. This label is possibly used for goods that are specifically produced for the discounter market but they are every bit as cute as their other products.
Again these paper chains are branded Table Fun, I picked them up in Sainsbury’s reduced down to 20p a pack. I tend to buy things like this on offer and put them away to use for the girls’ birthday parties or summer BBQs etc.
So fellow bargain hunters you heard it here first, look out for Talking Tables/Table Fun items for party selections with a bit of fun and sparkle!
